I Dreamed I Weighed 360 Pounds
Seriously, last night I had a dream and I was trying to get this scale to work in the bathroom. It wasn’t my bathroom or my normal scale. It was a hulking thing made of cast iron with a digital readout that you could only see if you leaned way over top of it. I stepped on it and it creaked. I couldn’t see how much I weighed so I leaned over and it said 360 pounds. I squealed and stepped off it really fast. Oh My God! How could this happen? I looked all over the scale to see if it went back to zero when I stepped of. It did. Then I looked for the adjuster. You know, that screw knob type thing near the floor? It didn’t have one. I figured if it was digital it must have a battery somewhere ,so, I tried to pick it up and look at the underneath. It was so heavy I couldn’t even pick it up. What did I do? I stepped on it again.ย
Yep, 360 pounds. I looked up and realized I was standing on the scale in front of a large mirror. I looked into the mirror and saw a huge (as in 360 pounds) woman looking back at me. The good news. It wasn’t me!!!! Now I am a true believer that not all dreams should come true!
I’m back on my diet after the amazing Valentine’s dinner last night. I’m also NOT going to step on my real scale until Sunday!
Thanks for listening. ;D Diane
More of a nightmare!! I always have the one where I am at work in my pjs!! LOL ๐
I’ve been to work in my PJ’s of course it was pyjama day and most of the school was in theirs, too. It was weird because It didn’t feel like a nightmare just very, very real until I realized, it wasn’t me. Thanks for reading it.
I always get scared about gaining weight so I just thought of it differently. Good read! Thanks!
Yikes! That would surely get the heart beating furiously! The nice thing about dreams is they are dreams.
nansi
Thank goodness!
I try not to get on the scale too often anymore. Part of it, is that I don’t want to see bad results. ๐ I use the way clothes fit me now as part of the equation (and to avoid these dreams!). ๐
Normally, I usually only weigh myself once a wheel but my doctor sees me every three weeks because of my many health issues. I sometimes wonder if she just likes my stories?
Lol! Perhaps! With the co-pays she gets interesting stories along with the fee.
