Today is Tomorrow
It is now the second day of the new year. I am back on track. Of course, it is a little early to be feeling righteous about this. But the positivity is a good thing, right?
Today I clean out the refrigerator. I know there are things in there that have passed their state of usefulness as food. I can get over quite a bit of my guilt about wastage because we compost veggie matter. I also don’t feel too bad about feeding the birds at the dump and rats gotta live, too, don’t they?
This is when I update the fruit and veggies, too. Tomatoes instead of potatoes would be nice. I’m not tired of mandarin oranges yet but we could use some fresh apples and grapes. And no more whipped cream. (It was amazing on the brownies with raspberries.) Sugar is a “white” food so more unless it’s in a fruit not added to it. More eggs, no more bacon. I’ve got lots of cheese and lettuce so I’m OK there. And meat…I’ll have check out the freezer. I know I have some leftover ham and the turkey is gone except for the soup and it’s a good thing – frozen. I need some chicken and lean pork. Can and will be done.
So, as I get the bucket full of warm water and baking soda to wash out the fridge, I leave you with a selection of the top 100 workout songs from 2013, courtesy of Sparkpeople.com.
Thanks for listening. ;D Diane
