The Food Flood Starts
It’s now officially the beginning of the holidays. It even snowed for us, so a walk may be difficult but I’ll manage. I’ll wear boots.
I’m off to the Butchart’s Garden Dining room for the WSANEC Christmas breakfast. Mmmmmm! Bacon. But we know this is only the beginning of treats, snacks, appies, meals, candy etc.
So, I must come up with many strategies to avoid the ever-eating and grazing that goes with the eggnog and wine that flows this time of the year. And we must be polite when we visit, mustn’t we? Who ever heard of low-cal shortbread or butter tarts? Well, I’ve got lots of fruit; protein, like cheeses and salamis; and veggies and dip. Guacamole is dip, right? I will use cucumbers instead of tortilla chips.
Well, off I go and brave the bad snow drivers of Victoria, mind you, it’s all going to turn to rain anyways. Thanks for listening. ;D Diane
