Nothing Says I Love You Like Pizza
Happy Valentines’s Day to all of you. It is a day to celebrate love, romance and couples. Norm and I have been together for almost 39 years. The love gets better and I’m glad we get to share it. But, and there’s always a “but” isn’t there? But…I’m not supposed to have chocolates. A piece of 70% or higher chocolate is OK when my seratonin and antioxidants need replenishing but the shiny red heart-shaped box is bad for me. OK, the box is spectacular and I love it, it’s the contents. I will encourage Norm to eat them (he loves chocolates) to save me from a fate worse than fat. Yeah, that’ll work.
I love the cards we exchange. They are cute and gooey or slightly dirty or over-the-top romantic. Sometimes they even play music. Today, Snoopy gave me a huge hug! They drive my kids crazy because they can’t believe that mature people like Norm and I still have those feelings for each other. Personally, I believe it will encourage them to look for a guy that will still give them cards, flowers and chocolates after 39 years, too.
So, as I become re-charged with preserving my health so I can keep getting Valentines presents for another 39 years, I will eat properly (with the odd chocolate) and exercise to keep my heart safe, not just for me but for all around me.
But… what I would really like for Valentines Day? Pizza!
Thanks for listening. ;D Diane
