Boiling It All Down – The Real Truth to Being Healthy
This is not a reference to whiter whites or soup making, even though I really like soup and white sheets. This is the month that people look for, then start complicated regimens to get healthy and preserve their youth and health. The exercise machines have been put together in the bedroom or the TV room. The Boot Camp and Zumba classes are full. The tires on the bikes are pumped up almost as much as their riders. The cake, cookies and chips are gone replaced with protein shakes, carrot sticks and Vitamin Water. But there are basics and we over look them because it seems so simple.
Dr. Timothy Caulfield summarized it nicely in last month’s Nutrition Action:
Eat lots of veggies and fruit
Dont smoke
Move everyday
