Thought-full Food Journal

I’ve been keeping my food journal pretty honestly for the last two weeks but I think it would be more fun to keep the one I’m really thinking in my head. For instance let me show you this weekend (all foods listed in brackets are what I wanted or was fantasizing about):

Friday night dinner and snack:

  • 4 oz juice ( 2 coconut rum pina coladas)
  • 6 oz roasted chicken (2 pieces Pig’s fried chicken)
  • 1/4 cup potato salad ( full order fries with chipotle mayo dip)
  • 8 little tomatoes (fried green tomatoes with corn bread)
  • (2 large slices of fresh French bread – buttered – with real butter)
  • 2 oz pepperoni and 1 oz white cheddar (nachos with cheese, salsa and sour cream)
  • 48 oz water (lots of water)

Saturday, breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks:

  • 3 cups black coffee ( 3 cups of coffee with homemade Bailey’s)
  • 1/2 cup Special K with 1% milk (1 cup of cherry almond granola with cream)
  • 1 apple (1 Rocky Mountain caramel apple – Skor flavour)
  • 1 cup chicken salad (2 pieces of left over fried chicken) on
  • 1/2 plate of lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes with lime juice (2 large slices of fresh French bread – buttered – with real butter)
  • handful of baby carrots (handful of dad’s chocolate-coated cookies)
  • small eye of round steak – grilled (1 t-bone steak – fried)
  • 2 cups green salad with low-fat mango-pepper dressing (2 small baked potatoes with sour cream and cheese)
  • 1/2 cup broccoli (1/2 cup of broccoli with cheese sauce)
  • plum (ice cream sandwich)
  • 1/2 cup carrots with yogurt dip ( 1 family bag of fully loaded potato chips)
  • 72 oz water (Lots and lots of water)

Sunday, breakfast out with friends, lunch, supper and snacks:

  • 3 cups of coffee ( 2 cups of coffee and 2 mimosas)
  • 2 egg veggie omelet with fruit salad (farmers skillet with sausage, eggs, cheese, potatoes, peppers, mushrooms and a side of buttered rye toast, one with jam, one with peanut butter)
  • 1 1/2 cups of tomato soup (hamburger with fries)
  • apple (cheese cake that’s been calling me from the freezer for two weeks)
  • 3 oz roast beef (2 slices of roast beef with gravy)
  • 4 slices grilled zucchini (2 scoops mashed potatoes with more gravy – I make great gravy)
  •  1 1/2 cup garden salad with low-fat Greek dressing (some salad with Uncle Dan’s ranch made with sour cream and mayonnaise)
  • small bowl of fresh pineapple (large bowl of vanilla ice cream with maple syrup)

Sigh! I can be good but my fantasies are gooder! OK, better! Thanks for listening. ;D
