Pretty Woman?

This is what I heard when I got into my car yesterday and started it! Wow, did I ever need that!

Isn’t it amazing when you get something really need and you didn’t even know you needed it! I knew I needed music but what song can make your heart feel better? Only you know when you hear it.

“Pretty” is such a subjective concept. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Dandelions are pretty: they are the most amazing yellow; the blossoms are so soft and cushy; the seed heads are glorious and the individual seeds can float for days. Then why don’t we want them all over our yard?

If every person believed it when some one told them they were beautiful, pretty, attractive, cute, loveable etc. We would not have a world full of eating disorders, breast enhancements, manscaping, and plastic surgery.

Humans are so hard on themselves. I know I am. I saw a sign over a business last week and I think it said it all; “It is a very poor person who has nothing but money!”

We are so rich and beautiful if we look what is truly valuable to us. I’ve even found that “health” is very personal, too. I see myself as very healthy, right now. Sure I have health issues and I’m recovering from a major surgery and face more in the future but I see myself as very lucky. I need to lose weight, I need to follow the guidelines and rules set out by the professionals who care for me. I need to love and care for myself as much as others do.

Rosie and Babe!

I try to count my blessings every morning but I give thanks every night. It’s more than luck, it’s work and lots of love. Diet, depression, handicaps, and too much time on my hands can fill a head with many things so I will choose to fill it with wonder and humour. A student of my mine gave birth today and the love in the world grows even more. Congratulations, Rosemarie and Jonathan!

Thanks for listening. ;D Diane
