Rainy Soup Day

I’m feeling really low and it’s raining. I’m going to have some tomato soup in a mug and hope for a better week.

Oh Crap! The soup just boiled over. Sigh! Oh well, why shouldn’t it? I went to the joint replacement clinic today and did whole bunch of pre-lim stuff. This is all stuff I did 8 and 7 years ago. No dates, no other possibilities – get weighed, interrogated “How many surgeries? How much do you drink? Who is going to take care of you post op?” Then I had to go get my blood taken, pee in the cup and have a ECG. And none of this is even the pre-op. Sigh. The nice lady at the clinic made wonderful suggestions for my exercising as long as I can get to the gym. I’m having problems getting down stairs.

I do think I lost a pound but it’s probably just water. Crying is a wonderful way to purge toxins from your system – physically and emotionally. It sure purges something.

I’m not as angry as I was earlier today and I think the soup is beginning to make me feel better, too. Well, I’ll sign off here and go and clean the stove off. And to quote Little Orphan Annie, “The sun’ll come out tomorrow.” I’m betting my bottom dollar on it.

Thanks for listening. ;D Diane

  3. Hi Diane,
sorry to hear you are feeling so low. You probably feel like you are starting over from scratch, but you have traveled this road before. So I hope the wisdom you got from those experiences will smooth the ride for you this time around. We are thinking about you at school and cheering you on! Things will get better, you won’t be waiting for surgery forever, and yes, the sun will come out again. Meantime, the springtime plants are having a good drink so they can grow, grow, grow. Tears are a good thing.
    BIG HUGS!
    Caroline

  4. Thanks, Caroline! I’m feeling the love!
