Monday Blues: I don’t Feel Pretty

It’s Monday and I don’t feel pretty. It’s very early and I’ve had my shower but my eyes are all puffy and I don’t feel pretty. It was a nice weekend and I feel rested but…

It snowed yesterday. Great big fluffy flakes that still look very pretty dusting the lawn and trees but it didn’t stick on the road and I can see the beautiful clear night sky sparkled with stars. Sigh.

Maybe I’ll pick out some clothes that will help with how I feel. It’s the beginning of a new week and I’m sure everyone will feel fresh and eager to learn. Oh my goodness I’m slipping into stream of consciousness writing. Not that that (tee hee hee, say it out loud and it makes sense) is a bad thing but most personal blogs are stream of consciousness and become so predictable and mostly uninteresting except to your close friends and family who sometimes wonder what’s going on in your head!

Enough, Diane, pull up your socks and get a real life! It’s the beginning a of a new food journal week. No lying, there is no cheating when no one but me looks at it, right. Leftover roast chicken and veggies are good. I’ll wear black and add the new scarf Wendy brought me from Cambodia.  Yeah, that’ll be nice.

I can set a goal for today.

Step 1: Do not look in the mirror and judge. Just dry your hair.
Step 2: Pick pretty underwear. Feels nice!
Step 3: Take your vitamins.
Step 4: Eat breakfast.
Step 5: Kiss Norm and leave for work.
Step 6: Drive carefully and play the nice CD. Not the book, today.Sing with the CD
Step 7: Say ÍY ȻEĆIL to everyone. EVERYONE! It really does mean good morning and it is a good morning.

Goal accomplished! I will get to work feeling good and happy!

Thanks for listening. ;D Diane

  1. One tip I can give you – when you wake up and feel awful, make sure all the lights are on. Don’t worry about it being daytime – turning the lights on turns YOU on. Ever tried to clean a dim room? Can barely be done! Turn those lights on, and it will be spotless in five minutes!

    Hope that helps.

  2. This made me smile – I may steal a few of your goals to brighten up my Mondays 🙂
