I was out for coffee with my friend, Nansi, yesterday.  OK, OK, I’ll be truthful.  I was at Moxie’s having a nice glass of wine with my friend, Nansi, yesterday.  We try to get together at least once a month to “Moxie”.  It’s just a standard “friend debrief” of our lives (we miss you Vicky). We’ve been doing it for years – how long has Moxie’s been on Yates anyways?  Yes, about that long.

Anyways, the woman serving us (sounds so subservient, doesn’t it, but then again “waitress” doesn’t sound much better) was extremely welcoming and talkative.  Actually, she was delightful. Nansi and I solved the problems of the world and Vanessa was very attentive to our needs and sharing her love of travel and the differences in cultures around the world and the places she had been. She sure wants to share them with her boyfriend of nine years. Anyways – when our little appy plates were empty she came to collect them and I said I was comfortably full she said , “Oh, you are goodfull!”

GOODFULLl! What a wonderful word! That is when you have eaten just the right amount of food in the right amount of time with the right people. Yes, I was goodfull. It was a wonderful feeling and not at all like that “turkey coma” or “cake oogies”. I think “goodfull” is what I am going to work towards in my journey to re-train my brain and body to eat less and for the right reasons.

Thanks for listening. ;D  Diane
